What's New at Irvine Spectrum Center in 2026

July 01, 20262 min read

Irvine Spectrum Center has added a wave of new dining, shopping and entertainment in 2026, including Din Tai Fung, Mastro's Ocean Club, Hijinx Hotel and Holey Moley, giving residents plenty of new reasons to visit close to home.

If the Spectrum is your go-to weekend spot, it's worth another look. Here's a quick tour of what's new, according to the Irvine Standard.

What's new to eat at Irvine Spectrum?

The biggest food news is Din Tai Fung, the globally celebrated Taiwanese restaurant famous for its hand-pleated soup dumplings, now open between Nordstrom and Target. On the fine-dining end, Mastro's Ocean Club has arrived with a 10,000-square-foot space, a lounge, and the kind of dramatic interior that instantly becomes a special-occasion favorite.

For something sweeter, Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, a brand dating back to 1945, scoops generous portions of made-in-store flavors. It all adds up to a noticeably deeper dining lineup than the Spectrum had a year ago.

What's new to do and shop?

Two new entertainment spots stand out. Hijinx Hotel offers challenge rooms the company describes as "part puzzle, part playground," plus private karaoke rooms with food and drinks delivered to you. Holey Moley brings three nine-hole indoor mini-golf courses full of pop-culture themes, turning adults-only after 8 p.m.

On the retail side, Gap has returned with a new prototype store, outdoor brand Columbia has opened, and there are fresh additions like the DIY-miniatures toy shop Rolife and the Korean-style self-photo studio K Photo La Vie.

Why this matters if you live in Irvine

A thriving Irvine Spectrum is one of the quiet perks of living here. Buyers relocating from out of the area often underestimate how much is packed into one walkable center: dining, shopping, a movie theater, the Giant Wheel and now even more entertainment — all minutes from most Irvine neighborhoods.

It's the kind of everyday convenience that makes Irvine an easy place to recommend, and an easy place to stay.
